Controversial rapper Sean Combs, widely known as P. Diddy, has taken on a new role inside Fort Dix Federal Correctional Institution, working as a chaplain’s assistant in the chapel library while also undergoing drug rehabilitation treatment, CBS News reported.
P Diddy" class="wp-image-17750"/>According to Combs’ publicist, Judd Engelmeyer, the position is considered one of the most desirable and respected assignments within the prison. Sources described the work environment as “warm, respectful, and positive.”
A former prison warden explained that inmates assigned to this duty typically maintain the chaplain’s religious library, clean the office, and assist with record-keeping. The chapel, he added, remains one of the few spaces in the facility where prisoners can gather freely.
Combs was transferred to Fort Dix on October 30 after receiving a sentence of more than four years on prostitution-related charges. A photo obtained by CBS News shows the rapper during intake procedures upon arrival at the facility.

In addition to his prison duties, Combs is enrolled in an intensive addiction recovery program. His representative said the artist is “fully engaged in his work, focused on personal growth, and committed to positive change.”
