Kim Kardashian has ignited debate after claiming the historic 1969 Apollo 11 moon landing was staged. Speaking in the October 30 episode of her Hulu reality series The Kardashians, the 45-year-old star said she believes the event never actually happened – Daily Mail report.
“I don’t think we did. I think it was fake,” Kardashian said during a conversation with actress Sarah Paulson between takes on set.
Referencing astronaut Buzz Aldrin, Kardashian cited interviews in which, she claimed, the Apollo 11 pilot allegedly hinted that the landing was fabricated. “This girl says, ‘What was the scariest moment?’ And [Aldrin] goes, ‘There was no scary moment, ’cause it didn’t happen,’” she told Paulson, adding, “I think it didn’t happen.”
Kardashian went on to question several elements of the historic footage. “Why does Buzz Aldrin say it didn’t happen? There’s no gravity on the moon—why is the flag blowing? The shoes in the museum have different footprints than the photos. And why are there no stars?” she asked.
When a producer later confronted her about the comment, Kardashian stood by her theory, saying she had seen “a few videos” of Aldrin allegedly admitting the landing was fake.
“They’re gonna say I’m crazy no matter what,” Kardashian said. “But like, go to TikTok. See for yourself.”
Aldrin, now 95, has never denied the authenticity of the Apollo 11 mission. For decades, he has defended the moon landing as one of humanity’s greatest achievements and dismissed conspiracy claims as baseless myths.
