Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bündchen joins Prince William on his environmental mission, serving as judge for this year’s Earthshot Prize winners.

Bündchen, known for activism and love of nature, steps into the role to boost global efforts. Prince William recruits her to amplify impact on climate challenges.
The Earthshot Prize celebrates bold, innovative ideas tackling world’s toughest environmental problems. It rewards those showing resilience and ingenuity amid crises, highlighting inspiring solutions for urgent issues.
People confirmed that Bündchen works alongside a star-studded council including broadcaster and conservationist Sir David Attenborough, actress Cate Blanchett, chef José Andrés and World Trade Organization Director-General Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala. As first Brazilian member, her addition proves timely: the awards ceremony arrives Nov. 5 in Rio de Janeiro.
Prince William attends events around the ceremony in Rio, then heads to Belém, Brazil, on Nov. 6 for the United Nations climate summit.

Bündchen calls joining Prince William’s mission an honor. She joins the judging panel.
“Protecting nature has always been close to my heart, and I’ve seen the power of global communities coming together and supporting innovation to create real change,” she said in a statement.
“Every action matters, big or small, and together we can nurture change to protect the planet we call home. The Earthshot Prize shines a light on solutions that inspire hope and transformation, and I’m proud to represent Brazil in sharing these stories with the world,” she continued.
